By joining forces, the multi-sectoral MASCOT consortium has capability to develop these innovations and accelerate them to the market, as the partners have diverse and complementing expertise, facilities and networks.
The consortium covers an entire value chain, as it includes advanced materials producer (Exote), equipment and technology suppliers (Andritz, Metso Outotec, Wärtsilä), tank and tank trailer supplier (Nordic Tank) and renewable fuel and plastic raw material producer (Neste). VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd (VTT) and University of Oulu are the research partners, with VTT being the project coordinator.
The industry partners in MASCOT will be the first to benefit from its results and bring the new products and technologies to the market. The MASCOT project creates immense potential for new businesses and significant increment of export to industry partners in the consortium and beyond. The project target seamlessly supports the aspire of Finland to be the world leading fossil-free welfare society by 2035.
